Right now the F150 is more hype than truck. That Ecoboost engine is their main draw. While providing the same power as a V8 but just marginally better fuel economy ( I think 1mpg last I saw) at a cost of over $1,500 more than the V8. It's mostly perception. Most independent tests prove Chevy makes the better TRUCK, it's just Ford has a better marketing department.
I think though if you compare Ford with GM, GM probably sells more trucks.
