You guys need to learn more about the competition. The Ford's Coyote engine is far more modern and has lots more potential than the same old push rod engine in the Camaros. I wish GM would follow suit and give us a new engine. Not afraid to say it, the 5.0 Mustang is faster than my SS.

I disagree. Although the coyote was designed after the LS3 with more "modern" components take the engines out of both cars and the "ancient" push rod LS3 still takes it
LS3 has higher peak output (426 vs 412 or 420 depending on year).
LS3 is lighter
LS3 makes more power throughout 90-95% of the entire powerband.
LS3 takes up less space
LS3 is capable of roughly the same fuel economy
If you want HP/L then buy a Honda.
Or get a V6 camaro, which has a high hp/L as well.
GM is following suit. The GEN V V8 will be released soon. We shall see what that powerplant will bring.
