Is the only SS on the lot that was a dark color in my price range. It was as basic as it could get. 1SS manual, non-RS manual. The dealer took off the stupid $3000 dealer mark up so the sale price was $30,800. I wasn't getting a Camaro if it wasn't a V8. I was looking at used cars when the dealer showed me a Camaro.
It was on a different lot. I told the dealer it had to be a dark car. Bright colors with my driving habits aren't good. Test drove a black 1SS auto first. When we started crunching numbers, it was a little to high for my comfort, payment wise. Dealer said the only way to cut the price any more would to be to get a manual (I preferred it anyway), but they only had one car that fit and it was a red car and it was on there other lot. The only red I had seen to that point was the Victory Red. I said I would look at it. We drove over and it was a Red Jewel. Even the dealer was supprised it was a dark car. They had never had a Red Jewel on the lot he worked at. I said its perfect. It was late at this point, so I drove it to the other lot as my test drive, and came back when they opened the next morning to buy it.
