The EMP went home with its new owner today.
I had a 'Loaded' SA 1911 before as well. I'll own another one some day but right now I'm more concerned with durable, reliable, simple firearms that are affordable and easy to service. If this M&P goes well I may consider its compact brother for carry duty. I see them at the local gun shop from time to time with reasonable price tags.
FWIW, the Smith is +P rated. Well at the very least Smith & Wesson doesn't object against it in their manual, only +P+. The EMP wasn't rated for it due to its aluminum frame last I read.
I suppose that having one handgun on hand, and it being a low round, expensive, small, darn near show piece just wasn't cutting it for me. I needed something all purpose. I think she'll do well
It will fit right in with my best friends Glock and our other buddies XD, lol.
