I don't know what kind of cars you drive, but the reports indicate that in these cases of sudden acceleration that the brakes showed signs of extreme use after the incident (red hot, smoking brakes, glazed brakes, work out brakes, etc.) usually when people accidenatally step on the accelerator the brakes don't also magically aplly themselves at the same time!
