I have been reading through this site for some time before I made my purchase to gain insight, pros, cons, etc. I have learned and still learning valuable information from this site and for that I thank you!

After raising kids and having a "mom" car for the past 15 years I was dying to get back into a sports car. I have owned a Pontiac Firebird, Mustang GT, but never a Chevrolet and my step dad worked 35 yrs for GM!

Once my youngest daughter got her first car, it was time to trade in my Jeep Liberty on something for me! Considering the GM family discount I could get there was no question. My dream has always been by the time I was 50 I would some day own a Corvette....well I have a few years to go so I decided that the Camaro was a start. I promised my daughter she could have my Camaro when she finishes college because by then I will want something new and this will be paid off (plus an incentive for her to get a degree). Maybe the Corvette, or maybe....depending on what the 50th anniversary Camaro will look like one of those!

I had my heart set on specific colors, Silver, White or Red - but DEFINITELY NOT BLACK! After living in the south for the past 6 years having a Black car just SUCKS! As much as I would have loved the V8 I could just not afford the upkeep and costs to drive one. I use my Camaro as my DD and the cost to drive and maintain the V8 over the V6 just does not make sense for me right now with a daughter beginning her Sr year of HS and me being a single parent and all the expenses that will follow!

I love my car, and out of all the cars I have ever owned, this by far has been the most fun to drive. The funny thing about it is that for some odd reason people think you are loaded if you own one - my new favorite saying is....for God's sake it's a CAMARO not a F'ing Ferrari!
