Performance is so similar it's a non issue. It's all about the driver and personal preference. And unless you've have owned/driven both, give up the argument. Arguing based on what you read in a magazine or on the internet is silly.
I've been tempted as well. I've always been a Chevy guy, but as you can get a comparable Mustang off the lot for a lot less, it makes the decision a tough one. For me, and many others, it's a muscle car thing, not a "Camaro" or "Mustang" thing.
