Problem is, a diesel adds $7K to the price of the truck.
So I looked at the Fords and thought I was facing the same decision, until I saw they had a twin-turbo V6 option ($1100 up-charge) in the F150. With the max towing package, it has a towing capacity of 11,300lbs! So, it gets good gas mileage and tows like a mule.
I bought an SCT tuner for it, which added 50rwhp and over 100ft-lb of additional torque!
So, I have a truck that looks like a luxury SUV inside, but tows like a super duty beast.

My efilive tune added 230 rwhp......I get around 20.5 hand calculated on the the hwy...and its a torque GOD (over 1000 ft pounds)diesel power is where its at.
