I doubt the Cologne will be kept in the 6. The Ecoboost/Cyclone is the direct successor to the Cologne and more or less has supplanted the Cologne in Ford's lineup at this point in time. My guess is for them to follow GM's lead and just plant the Ecoboost Cyclone in the LT/LS price slot and the Coyote stuffed GT to remain as is, granted with the adjusted 30-31K price point.
Again, it also depends on what I can get for Z plan pricing. IMO though, I want to steer clear of the 3.5 Ecoboost ATM because of the issues I'm currently seeing with my mother's Edge which uses a N/A 3.5L Duratec Cyclone. One of a few factors that set me on the path to the Coyote. Cheap V8 being one of the others.
Also of note; I don't know about you guys, but I've found that my insurance is higher on the Mustang than on a 2SS Camaro.
123/mo on a 2SS vs 180/mo on a GT Base. I'm thinking though that the first quote was more an off the wall estimate due to the time at which it was requested. I'd think it would equal the GT if not surpass it at this point in time. Hot car = liability issue is a good possibility with all the attention it gets (and accident reports by association).
