You may not have done anything wrong. I got caught up in a dispute of sorts about of all things oil catch cans & though there was nothing wrong with my opsts, they were deleted along with hte posts I was responding to which were, well, just not very nice. I sent a PM to a moderator asking about it & he explained it to me. I felt better, but it did sort of hurt my feelings before I understood. Even if you did break a rule, it may help you understand & feel better & let the moderators know you meant no harm. Sometimes things are just easily misinterpreted in text. Hang in there & stay around here at least.
