It is a life change, not a temporary change

Even when I'm TRYING to gain weight, I eat completely healthy and monitored like 90% of the time. Especially if you have the genetics that make you gain weight faster than losing it, you'll have to be careful... pretty much forever. That's how I am too. I can gain weight really fast, so I have to be careful what I put in my mouth
Get back on the horse and ride that fu**er out. You'll drop it again, probably quicker than you think. If it was a lot of crappy food, it means it had a lot of sodium. I would be willing to bet that you have at LEAST a couple pounds of additional water weight just from the salt. That will come off within a week.
