Oh I agree that P90x (and etc) won't bulk you up or anything. But for general health and conditioning (especially for someone who is currently not exercising), it's a good place to start. Better than getting into any other program where you don't know what you're doing, and run the risk of pushing to hard and hurting yourself right out the gate.

I would disagree with no benefit to cardiovascular conditioning though. There is an awful lot of non-stop activity for there to be no cardio benefit. Sure, it won't make you a stronger runner, but neither will working your tail off on a stationary bike. But it still does things for your cardiovascular system.

Like I said, I'm not a fan either... but a good structured routine is good for someone that needs a place to start.
