Not picking on the Nascar drivers.
It's just a fact that there were more of them in the series.
Also, the IROC cars most resembled the cars from Nascar, consequently, the series favored Nascar drivers more familiar with the driving characteristics of a full bodied/heavier race car.
I too would have liked to see it survive, but lack of sponsorship, scheduling, etc., killed IROC.
