I would love to give our side of the story in response to some that love to thrash this site...
But I know why the owner prohibits it. People want to know that we will protect them even if they are at fault. A lot of times we are making an effort at being professional and following our own rules when we don't give an explanation.
But I do think it is a double edged sword. It makes us look like we are hiding something..
I can say this. It ain't gonna change...

Just to add a bit to this train of thought, as a sort of general (but not all-emcompassing) explanation as to why folks get banned in relation to sponsors ...
While it is true that members have been banned after they've brought up issues with vendors, I can't think of a single incident where it
wasn't someone who had been harassing said vendor, going out of their way to slam them every chance got. That is far different from someone saying "I'm unsatisfied with product X because ... ". We welcome that sort of feedback because it helps everyone involved. But a slamfest is of no use to anyone (expect the guy who wants to hurt the sponsor)
And another there have been 'members' that have been proven to be associated with a particular vendor & do nothing but bash the competition. Alternatively, there have also been former employees doing pretty much the same thing.
And finally, there have been vendors that have intentionally violated the sponsorship rules on the site and been kicked off the site
despite paying their sponsorship money and 'lining the sites pockets'. Again, as much as we'd like to name names, and say why ... we simply don't do that kind of thing.
