If GM goes into Ch 11 and is split to create a "new" company owned by the government (
) for the "good" assets, what if this new company had a new name? Since this is somewhat of a fresh start for GM, since it is a new company, and since there are many biases out there against "GM" what if they changed the name?
If they do, I say go for Chevrolet Motors. Think of all the other mainstream manufacturers - Ford, Lincoln, Mercury belong to Ford Motor Company, Honda and Acura fall under Honda, Toyota, Lexus, and Scion fall under Toyota...etc. In most cases the corporation shares a name with the mainstream brand, with luxury and niche brands added on. Sound like a good idea to anyone else? Thoughts? Other ideas?
