Ok, guess I have to trump the person before me. It's been 21 years since I quit smoking cigarettes. It was my 3rd ( and thankfully last) attempt at quitting. I did the hypnosis thing once and it helped for 2 years. When I decided to finally quit I said I was not going to let this little fkr rule my life. No way No how. I overcame all the associations within a months time and like AdamZ said, I walked into a room where people had smoked and it was like I couldn't breath...
it was awful. You experience something like that and you don't ever want to go back. Good luck in your endeavor and remember to not let it beat you...You are better than that
Edit: to Angie, if you still have cravings it's because you haven't overcome that association with that craving. Once you do, you will never think twice about having another cigarette. Keep trying and find out what it is and confront it and overcome it, YOU CAN DO EEET.
