The dyno numbers coming out for the gt500 need to be properly accounted for by ditching traditional drivetrain loss calculations. The carbon fiber drive shaft will take less hp to spin and this will become a linear function as rpms climb higher.

It's safe to assume that 15% loss is over calculated. It's likely closer to 12.5% loss because of this. I'd guesstimate the 5.8 is slightly underrated and makes an honest 685 fly wheel hp on an engine dyno fully dressed with tail pipes and accessories.

That's factoring 610whp which some have gotten while others got 601, and 613.
