Led Zeppelin has died...

Below is an obituary that is in my local newspaper this morning. I went to school with this guys daughter. To my understanding, he wanted to do something wild and crazy after his divorce, so he legally changed his name to "Led Zeppelin II". She had told me before that he went to visit her in New Orleans, and they had dinner at a Mexican restaurant. The waitress noticed the new name on his credit card, and suddenly started to treat him like royalty. She thought he was THE Led Zeppelin, not realizing that Zeppelin was more than just one guy.

Led Zeppelin II, formally known as George F. Blackburn, climbed the "Stairway to Heaven" on May 18, 2012, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 26, 1947, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Lorraine and Alfonzo Blackburn.
He grew up in downtown Chicago during the 60's. He worked for TWA for 32 years in Chicago and then St. Louis, retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his father Alfonzo; his bother, Joe Blackburn; his son, Joe Jr.; his sister, Sandy and Gary; his loving daughters, Melissa and Chuck Gray of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mindy and Bill Baker of Seattle, Wash.; his ex-wife and friend, Cheryl Blackburn of Bethalto; a special grandson, Josh and Melissa Blackburn; grandchildren, Brandon and Abigail of Phoenix, Ariz.; and dear to his heart were his two cats and his dog Lila-Mae.
Led's loves were rock 'n roll, hot rods and Amsterdam. However, his true love was for the band Led Zeppelin.
If you would like to share his memory with his family, there will be a "Celebration Day" at R.J.'s Bar and Grill in Hartford, at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 25,.
Donation in his name can be made to Formea Animal Hospital in Alton.
