Nice '84 Monte!
I love these G-bodies, and even though I do plan on a Camaro sometime in the future, I'm not sure I can get away from these. I had a 1986 Cutlass Supreme Brougham that I foolishly let go couple years ago..
Lesson learned on that, and now I have my 1987 Pontiac Grand Prix L.E. One of these days I'll be tearing into my Grand Prix, one of these days..
For now she's my daily and I love it, 2.41 rear gears, stock 305 and all.
I thought I was fairly lucky with my G-body. Living in Wisconsin and finding one with minimal rust is a challenge. Finding one like mine with no rust for under a grand is darn near impossible, but I found one.
I don't plan on doing any major modifications to mine. First and foremost it needs paint. Primer splotches are not very attractive to some.
After that, few mods to the little 305, exhaust work, maybe change gears to 3.42's or 3.73's, and then I'll be happy with it as a daily driver.
Nice Monte again though, keep us updated on how the project comes along.
