By reading forums like this, I've found that plenty of people are personally offended by the mere concept of improved fuel economy, even if it means they get more power too and don't have to give up anything...then there's the ones who believe that anything that improves fuel economy without improving power must have a huge downside to it, too.

You must be new to politics. It's the same no matter which party gets into office...the other party has the same whining they had the last time someone from that party was in office.
