Don't get me wrong -- it's a nice car. A great power upgrade over the 3800. I also can understand your desire to find something fast, so it was available and voila! Sort of like what I did long ago when I sold my IROC for a 5.0. Everyone said to find a LT1 car, but nope, I couldn't wait (this was back in 2001 when LS1's were still new and I was still in HS). I then regretted the decision... the entire time I owned the car.
Just keep it clean and take care of it. You can then sell it and hopefully break even so that you can pick up a LS1 car -- unless you begin to really enjoy Mustangs. Then you can upgrade to a 03/04 Cobra or new 5.0
