I agree with the fact that automatics disengage you from the driving experience....as I drive manuals.
However, it is very hard to beat an automatic tranny that is complemented by a high stall torque converter, and more aggressively placed shift points.
But from a factory stock standpoint....manuals are usually better if you can drive.
