Actually, the cure for that was accomplished through...hold on, now...
road racing. Yup, by GM-Canada when they created the forunner to the 1LE for the
GM/Player's Challenge. One of the necessary improvements for those 1986-Canada-only L69 F-cars was an improved fuel system, tank baffles and all, that eventually surfaced on the RPO 1LE cars, '98-forward...
