another tidbit of note

ls9 10.5lbs of boost= 638hp
lsa 9lbs of boost=580
5.4 9lbs boost=540
5.8 15lbs of boost= 662

so chevy vs ford at 9lbs a piece chevy wins by 40hp, I would contribute that more to the .8 diff in engine size than anything else though, not really more effeceint(sp?) or anything.

So again I think it all comes down to upping the boost and how much can each motor take before its unsafe. The LSA is at a disadvantage here since GM saved money by not going all forged internal like they did w/ the LS9 and Ford did w/ the 5.4 and 5.8.

At 15lbs of boost the LS9 would blow the 5.8 out of the water and the LSA should top it by 40-60hp, the LS9 can handle the boost no problem, not so sure on the LSA at least I don`t think I would want to run that much w/ out meth or something on an engine thats not completely forged.

Another thing is I don`t know why they don`t stroke the new 5.0 motor and forge it. Its a much better motor than the old 4.6, 5.4, 5.8 architecture.
