This is true, though by my standards ~0.4 lb/hp is actually only a slim margin in favor of the GT500. If the 2012 GT500 power-to-weight ratio was approaching ~1.0 lb/hp or better then I would agree. That is just me though.
Anyway mid-high 11s for a 2012 GT500 should be attainable. An 11.5 might require a driver with a little bit of experience though.
