nope it was mounted in the front in place of the inline 4. there was a 2 part article about its construction in Hot Rod magazine. other than some minor mods to the engine bay and some things removed to save weight (they drilled holes in the bracket that held the washer fluid bottle to save weight
). it was basically un-altered dimension wise.
