Well the Zeta platform is actually the holden platform used on the G8.

Over the Fbody it's a front engine RWD platform with independent rear suspension.

If you look at the G8 and the camaro side by side, they use a lot of the same things like the width of the vehicle, the interface for the DIC, the fuel door (and possibly fuel tank) location, and the firewall/a/c box seem to be in the same places.

It's unfortunately not a very light platform, it's rather heavy, I'd say light truck heavy.. which is why L99s especially are SLOOOWW despite having lots of power... but thats just the way the ball bounces.
