I made a trip out to arizona a few weeks ago to pick up my TA. I have good news, the car has a new motor, runs beautifully. Not much of a looker, but that will change over the coming months once I am able to bring the car home.
That was the purpose of the trip, but it didn't work out as planned. My bf and I were not able to get his truck up and running, but we decided to go anyway. So my car got her first 800 mile road trip. I got the best gas milage ever lol.
All in all it was fun. We went to Cali and saw the ocean, got some seashells, drove on Route 66, i got a crash course in replacing a water pump (which is not as hard as my repair manual makes it look, thanks mom
)
We go back at the end of this month with the truck to tow the bird home. I completely trust that the car would make the trip wtih no issues, but just to be safe, we are towing it back. I am super excited.
