On-line ads are a form of promotion that uses the Internet for the expressed purpose of delivering marketing messages to attract customers. Ad tracking services often track the sites you visit on-line and make targeted marketing efforts. However, to block ads... all you need is a good software firewall that has an ad and cookie blocking capabilities.
On the other hand, these ads (like Google and others) help in part to pay for the website hosting (Camaro5/forum) , server(s) and etc... There are sites that do not rely on such ads. Problem is... money is often needed in the form of donations to maintain and host these sites/forums.
