You are splitting hairs my friend. We know that the Mustang does not currently meet the most recent safety standards. We know that safety features add weight (Challenger/Camaro, maybe?). Does that not logically mean that unless Ford takes extreme weight reducing steps (which also add price to the vehicle) it is going to weigh more? Not to mention that Ford is going to do everything in it's power to make sure the Mustang is priced under the Camaro. Complete restyle and brand new drivetrain is going to add enough money.
