Never heard of central sleep apnea. All I know is that I was diagnosed "very severe" which I thought was kind of comical, as if "severe" wasn't severe enough for their description. Kind of like "double secret probation". Once I got used to it, the cpap helped. Although I never realized all the great things they said would happen for me. (Weight loss, etc.) But if I try to sleep without it now, I feel absolutely crappy the next day.
Been considering the airway surgery for various reasons. One being that I am extremely difficult to intubate, and at my age, that could work against me someday. I don't want to lose the entire 3rd grade
while waiting for an ER doctor/intern to get it right. It's just like doing missed approaches and going around again and again with your needles on "E": One way or another you're going to land soon, the only difference being the condition of the plane when it comes to a stop.
