The Mustang stock for stock does out handle its comparable Camaro Trims, this is why Chevy worked so hard on the ZL1 and now is releasing the 1LE so that they can bring the Camaro up to speed in the cornering department....
Ford has dual cams and 16 extra valves to make up for the missing 1.2 liters of displacement...
A Solid Axle doesnt out perform IRS, unless it's Ford Engineers working with it
