What I'm saying is Chevy seems tentative and not being as bold as Ford is on appealing ideas and performance. I'd like to see the old Chevy attitude of we're number one come back with new ideas and performance to stay on top rather than reacting to what Mustang is doing.
I'm sorry, but what the hell are you takling about? Not as bold? They built the 5th generation camaro off a concept car and came out with 426 hp and 24 mpg. The v6 version got 300 something horsepower with 30 mpg. The ZL1 gets a magnetic ride suspension and supercharger. This promoted Ford to increase their v6 mustang horsepower by 100, their v8 mustang horsepower by 100, and now bump the GT500's horsepower by a similar number. Do you think Ford would have ever come out with a 400+ coyote engine without the camaro? So who's being bold here?

Chevy sells other cars than the camaro and they can't get into the vette's market share. That and the camaro is competitive. Yes, the mustang is a fast car but so is the camaro and it's close. They are probably focusing their efforts on the next generation.
