I ask them about it and they say "because of your aftermarket parts we can't honor your warranty." After they had just rebuilt the trans. That annoyed me greatly. So my next thought was take the aftermarket intake off and bring it back later for them to fix. All it had done to it was a Boss intake manifold (ford part min you) and a JLT cold air intake with a very mild tune. I made sure the tune wasnt leaning out any where in the rpm band when I had it tuned. Leaning is bad on the 5.0. Makes pistons pop. Well anyway, I was gonna wait til Saturday or Friday night to remove the intake and return the tune to stock. It was on Tuesday when I got the car back btw. So about thursday, I noticed a whine coming back into my gears just from normal driving. I was like WTF. So just to make real sure it was whining and I wasn't just hearing things, I got off the state maintained roads and into a parking lot (that was empty) and did a nice smooth burnout lol. Man those tires smoked good. I held it a few seconds and left the lot, listening for noise. Sure enough, that damn whine was right back there again. I decided that 5.0 was going away from me and in a hurry. How I ended up in a camaro, who knows lol but I'm happy I did. That 5.0 was going to kill me lol
And yeah, before anyway gets smart, yeah I broke the damn mustang and I wanted ford to fix it. So? That's what happens when you give me a weak transmission. I'm gonna break it.

I beat the piss out of my 2011 MT82 5.0 and never had a single issue. It ran mid 11's in 2,500' DA with 6K RPM launches on slicks. Remember that Ford can and will deny your warranty with a tune period. I think you were fortunate to have them cover your trans with the mods you had.

And what are you gonna put $6k in on the camaro to only do an 11.99? I think you are really exaggerating here...

First, my 2012 with 950 miles on the OD:
11.88@119 with tires/wheels and a tune. It ran 120MPH on a run later in the night.
2010 Camaro SS with a cam and other mods at the same track:
So to make a manual trans LS3 Camaro reliable at the track running 11's N/A:

That was back when I put the pencil to the paper before I made the switch.
Again, not intending to start a flame war here however that is what was behind my decision and my statement(s).
