I would suggest doing some research to deflect a huge pissing match this discussion would spark.
In a nutshell, I am able to take a new 5.0 and run 11's with one using tires/wheels and a tune.
My 2010 1SS would have resulted me digging into my pocket to the tune of $6K+ to get to the same point. The Mustang also is less expensive to start with.
If you are into road course work, the Mustang is the better performer there stock-for-stock as well.
Nothing against the Camaro, it just takes more $$$ to get to the same point with it.
