For some reason folks keep forgetting that Gen V V8 is right around the corner and givin what we know about it, it should be more powerful than Gen V V8s. Since GM is makeing tt versions of the 3.6 v6, that should give GM the freedom to make the Gen V V8s more performance oriented. The next vette could easily be over 500hp.

Well its going to need more than 280hp. Hmmm How would that lineup look like
Base: turbo 4
RS: 3.6 TT V6 (which the power plant would probaly be more expensive than a Gen V V8 and less powerful)
SS: Gen V LT1 V8 + 7 spd manual.
