Look into the LLT timing chain issues in vehicles like my wife's old Acadia... Wife followed the Oil Life Monitor (which at one point GM changed and reduced the miles) and ended up having the timing chains replaced TWICE in 80,000 miles! Dumped the Acadia after the timing chains were fixed the second time... I know handle the oil changes in her Flex.. full synthetic every 5,000.... cheap insurance!
