Ford tried and went too far with the Ford GT which was an exotic, and it died quickly. Otherwise Ford is always half assing it with their"performance category. If you look at the new Z06 (Z07 package plus magnetic adjustable shocks) track times, it's just ridiculous how well that car takes on a track and is still able to be a daily driver.

i wouldnt say the Corvette has been a technological marvel either. People here poke fun at Ford for using a live axle (that WORKS!) yet dont say much about the Corvette using archaic leaf springs (even older technology that WORKS!).
