The price is a wash. It will be down to who can get the best deal where for which car they want.

The 2013 GT500 price didn't reach the doomsayer level of $60K base, but it did increase about 12% over the 2012 model which is a huge jump for a single make/model in one year. Though it did come with a hefty performance improvement for that amount.
