As a consequence of my time at NNPTC, I have been effectively locked in a room with 26 of my closest shipmates and mounds of study materials. It was a long journey, and it required me to be away from here way more than I anticipated. When the next step of my training begins in a short time, I'll be locked inside again to continue my studies.

In the meantime, I'm back, and I can celebrate my frocking tomorrow.

For those of you not in the Navy, this means that I will become a Petty Officer tomorrow. Without going into specifics, I've worked very hard to get here, and I've also seen some of my shipmates not make the journey to this day.

I look forward to serving all of you and will continue to do so with honor, courage, and commitment.
