Relatively new to the camaro5.com forum. I used the site initially to help make a decision on my first big purchase. I put in a order for my 2SS Camaro 2/24/2012. I just got the 3400 notification this week!
Summary of the Purchase:
2SS Camaro, Summit White, Black Rally Stripes, RS Package, 20" Polished Aluminum Wheels, Hurst Shifter, Illuminated Footwell and Cup Holder, and I am getting the Performance Exhaust from GM the day it arrives.
The Camaro will be my first new car, as I have previously always owned salvage title vehilces (current ride 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier). I will admit I am a bit intimidated going from a 140hp FWD vehicle to a 426hp RWD vehicle but ecstatic for the journey
I am a recent graduate of UNC-Charlotte (May 2011), with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering. Long time Chevrolet die-hard.
The great part of the purchase was the the slight benefit of the GM Supplier Discount and the pride to know that my company (Schaeffler Group USA - INA Bearings) makes the transmission bearing that go into the car.
