There are no carry permits here for anyone unless you a very specific profession (ie - Brinks, police detective), even the police can't carry (off duty), and not in uniform.
That really sucks when people need Glocks in their passenger seat just in case the have to blow somebody's brains out for self defence.

I'm actually really surprised that Canada still even lets civilians own firearms although under very heavy restrictions. Personally, I feel that the government is doing a disservice by limiting your NATURAL BORN RIGHT to self defense. Evil is everywhere. You don't know when it's going to strike. Would you rather have the ability to defend your life and your family's life when the time comes or be at the mercy of said evil? I'm generally not the type of person to sit back and wait for an outcome. There is a saying that goes, "Better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6." When it comes to you and your family's safety, it would be irresponsible NOT to be prepared to protect them when needed. Just my 2 cents.
