I will just say that I haven't seen anything that proves or disproves it doesn't exist.

I do have my own story, and I can't really explain it.

About 1984-85, I had a 73 Dodge Charger SE that I had several memorable incidents with. My mom was convinced it was cursed.

One night, I had a dream...that I was driving on Sunset Blvd near an old house my parents had lived in once...and wrecked the car. I really didn't remember details of the dream, except the location.

I've never experienced anything like this before or since...and the impression the dream left on me caused me to drive a different route to and from school/work. I did this for about a month.

One day, I came back that way for some reason. This was on Sunset Blvd coming west towards Rustic Canyon. It was two lanes each way, and I was on the outside lane. A VW Bug was on the inside lane. I came to a light next to the VW, and when it went green, we both drove off like normal. I wasn't speeding, but because it was a right curve, I gained about 3/4 of a car length when I saw a flatbed truck parked ahead of me. It was on kind of a blind corner because hedges came all the way out to the street. I was doing 35ish (the speed limit), and hit the brakes as soon as I saw it. It wasn't enough, and because I was swerving to avoid it, my rear end hit the VW and punted into the opposite lanes (fortunately, no traffic that way).

My car, however, ended up with the flat bed coming in at head height on the passenger side. If I had a passenger, he/she would have been decapitated.

Sadly, the truck was parked there because the gardeners were looking for a place to park.

Anyways, after the accident, I was kind of dazed and stunned. I had blood on my forehead from hitting the steering wheel, and got out and helped the guy in the VW to make sure he was ok. This was in the days before cellphones, so I walked across the street to a driveway.

Let me reiterate...I was with 1/4 mile of my old house. I knew the neighborhood, but not this part of it. I'd never been to this particular house before.

I walked down the long driveway, walked along the side of the house to the pool, where I knew the owner of the house was, and asked if I could use the phone because I was just in an accident. He gladly helped.

I was having a serious case of deja vu at this point....if you want to call it that. I mean...I KNEW that he was going to be back there. I didn't even bother going to the door and ringing the doorbell.

The car gets moved by a towtruck further down the road to get it out of traffic, on a pullout within sight of my old house.

I get into a conversation with the towtruck driver about where to take the car, and KNOW that he was going to ask to buy my wheels and tires, since they survived...and he did. Deja vu at this point is still going strong.

There were other little things...but ever since that happened...I keep my mind open to the fact that weird crap can happen.

I'm a scientist at heart...so having something like this happen just showed to me how little we humans really do know...
