Hi everybody! Happy Hump Day! Well I've had a great time here in Las Vegas. And it's all thanks to- you guessed it- Hot Rod Sally! I took Lightning's advice, and met up with her on Sunday. She treated me to lunch, and then took me out to see Red Rock Canyon. Beautiful place! It's nice to see that there is more to Las Vegas than casinos. She got me in to see a couple of shows. (They were hilarious!) And took me cruising on the strip in the RS, once during the day, and once at night to see all the lights. I had a really good time, learned a lot, and made a new friend.

Thanks Linda for being such a great host and guide. It's good to know a local. You saved this non-gambler from what could have been another boring and lonely business trip, stuck in another dreary hotel room. And even though we spent a lot of time trading cat stories, I hope I provided enough of a diversion to keep your mind off of your loss, if only for a little while.

And for all of you old farts: I gave her a hug, and told her it was on behalf of all of you folks; Her friends that wanted to give her a hug, when you all knew she needed it. I hope it makes her smile.

She's a terrific lady. Oh yeah, and did I mention she makes her car look good!

It looks like the winds have calmed down, at least in my neighborhood. Have a safe flight home.
