Hey all! Miss me?

I just spend the last 3 days reading 100+ pages in this thread. Man that was a lot of catching up. I don't know if you guys care, but I'll go ahead and explain where I've been.

I moved into my new place about a month ago and it took AT&T about two and half weeks to get my internet turned on (did manage to snag a couple months free from that fiasco, though). After that, my computer has been giving me a lot of trouble lately. But thats not really why I've been around. I do work in IT now, so its not like I'm not sitting in front of a computer at least part of every day anyway.

No, mostly I've been avoiding the site. A little because of the aura of panic that has infused the place, but mostly because being here just makes me feel really, really down. As I said earlier, I moved into a new place. What happened is that I moved from renting and decided to purchase my first house (condo, really, but who's counting?). For those of you that may or may not be following my past since I joined here, you'll know that I foolishly took money from my Camaro fund to purchase an engagement ring, and then HAD to take money out when my then-fiance broke her hip (as neither of us had insurance).

Well, since she left me I've been doing some thinking about my life and part of that thinking led me to buying a place of my own - which is great, because I love owning the place I live in. But, in order to purchase the place I had to supply a 4,500 dollar cashiers check to the title company, which got rid of all but the last 500 bucks or so of my Camaro fund.

What does this mean? That my chances of being able to afford a new Camaro within the next couple years went from slim to absolutely-fricken-none when I bought my condo.

So yeah, I've been avoiding the place. I set my sights too high, I guess. I'm using the money I have left to work on my short-chop project with my Dad. Hopefully I'll be able to afford to buy a nicer used car in the next few months when I get my finances worked out a little smoother. I've been looking at maybe an M6 LS1 GTO (I like the LS2's look better, but I honestly don't need that much power and I'd rather have the better fuel economy from the LS1).

But anyway, I'm back for now, and I need to pad my post count a bit. Let the whoring commence!
