I agree that the data is skewed by including cars that have absolutely nothing to do with the Camaro.

And indeed, just because more are sold doesn't mean that it is a higher quality product. The mcdonalds/fatburger and microsoft/apple arguments are perfect analogies to illustrate this.

But in the long run, higher camaro sales ultimately means that GM will have a greater ability to incorporate process and quality improvements into subsequent model year Camaros, as well as later generation Camaros.

This is good for anyone who is a fan of the Camaro or Corvette. It tells GM that those cars are relevant to a large demographic of people. It is now GM's job to run with this data and incorporate improvements into their products instead of letting them languish on as has been the case in the past.
