Yeah yeah, it's a good thing from the perspective that Chevy can't afford to keep it if there aren't a bazillion sold every year - but that's just a sad fact of corporate reality - hardly something that an individual owner should get excited about.

I am a shareholder.
And I'm also a Camaro fan who wants to see the nameplate live on. The only way that will happen is with high Camaro sales.
If you don't care about that, more power to you. It's seems that you're primarily concerned about individualism and yourself (in no way a bad thing). But high sales figures are for the good of the car, the company, and the community.
In terms of Microsoft vs Apple, I honestly have zero desire to own another Mac as I type this on my MacBook Pro. In fact, ironically enough, one of the things that annoys me the most about it is the fact that everyone and their mother now owns one.
