I wondered about this - why are Americans in general very "stupid" when it comes to interviews? Don't believe me - just check youtube for the huge difference. I have yet to see a British guest on Top Gear that wasn't witty, and I think only Jay Leno was the only American I've seen that could match Clarkson.

It's obviously got something to do with the education system. The Brits are learning something that Americans aren't. Heck that's why Americans routinely can't tell the difference between:

Their vs There vs They're
Irregardless vs Regardless ("irregardless" is not a word you twat!)
Oriented vs Orientated
Loser vs Looser

Drives me crazy.
I've seen plenty of Brits appear a bit 'daft' when appearing as a guest on a US based talk show. It goes both ways
