Just happened to run across this as well. You mentioned the 2010 Mustang not being able to outperform the 4th Gen LS1s even though they cost more.

I don't think that's necessarily the best point to make. Ford really let the 4.6 hang around too long from a performance standpoint. Nobody will argue the 98/02 FBodies were faster than any GT up to '11.

But to bring up a price argument, I could make the counterpoint that 5th Gen Camaros cost more than 03/04 Cobras but still aren't as quick... Almost anytime you compare a new car, it's going to cost significantly more than an older competitor.

I'm just glad it's not 1998 anymore... 225hp GT vs 350ish hp LS1s.... Ugh...
