MacMall.com has slightly discounted macs if you don't want to buy refurbished. You won't find may discounts over $150 on a new Mac in most cases.

I think at least once a year i have backed up all my info on a external hard drive and had to restore my computer back to factory settings because something has either gone wrong or i couldnt take it anymore.
